Volunteer
It is the tireless energy of over 8,000 volunteers – scientists, educators, parents – through a network of over 100 local organizations from British Columbia to Nunavut to Newfoundland and Labrador that encourages the scientific efforts of over half a million young Canadians.
Volunteering can take many forms. Helping out for a few hours at a local fair, mentoring a budding young scientist, acting as a chaperone at international events, judging or even lending your skills to fundraising – these are just some of the essential roles our volunteers take on in their communities.
Volunteers have an opportunity to meet a wide range of Canadians from right across the country – parents, teachers, business leaders, public and private sector researchers, scientists and engineers, and, of course, the nation’s top young scientists.
If you’re interested in science, youth, or curious about the kind of future they are inventing, we’d love to hear from you!
