I have spent 40 years engaging Canadian youth and the general public in the joy of science. I have leadership experience in two of Canada’s largest science centres, with an emphasis on content creation and education. I have worked with Canadian scientists, educators, and youth for the duration of my career and want to bring that experience and expertise to YSC.
I have Board experience with diverse organizations including the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC), Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA), and the Perimeter Institute. I serve on the Finance Committees for both the CASC and the Perimeter Institute.
For 20 years, I hosted a weekly science segment called The Alan Nursall Experience on Discovery Canada’s national science and technology show, Daily Planet.
I bring deep experience in public engagement in science to YSC, plus many years of organizational leadership.
