  • Oversee the annual external audit process and ensure audit results are communicated to the Board in advance of the Annual General Meeting.
  • Support appropriate financial controls and monitor their ongoing effectiveness.
  • Present financial information to the membership twice per year: at the Annual General Meeting (June) and the Special General Meeting (December).

What We’re Looking For

  • A Canadian resident who is certified as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience with financial reporting, audit oversight, budgeting, risk management, or nonprofit finance.
  • Able to communicate financial information clearly to the Board of Directors and YSC members.
  • Exhibits sound judgment, integrity, and a collaborative approach aligned with our Policy Governance model
  • Interest in Youth Science Canada’s mission to support youth engagement in STEM projects across the country.

Time Commitment
