With extensive experience as a science educator, community mobilizer and nationally recognized leader in youth science, Jamie Parsons brings a breadth and depth of both grassroots experience as well as wide-ranging committee expertise. From creating sound policies and practices at the national level to developing new science curriculum provincially Jamie has seen the front line of youth science in action while keeping the vison for the future in the forefront. His action-oriented approach and passion for empowering young people to take on the mantle of scientific discovery personally has encouraged hundreds to pursue scientific inquiry professionally. He is sought-after provincially as an expert by both the School District as well as the provincial Department of Education, where he is regularly asked to sit on committees, test new exam content, serve as an evaluator for other district schools and offer opinions on curriculum redesign.
