I am a longtime supporter of science fairs and promotor of STEM education. As a teacher, my students completed science fair projects. Later I became involved behind the scenes as a member of the Eastern Newfoundland Science Fairs Council and as a judge at school fairs.

My involvement with other boards and organizations, has given me an excellent understanding of the non-profit sector, governance practice, and the fiduciary responsibilities of board members. I am happy to be working with the YSC staff and other board members as I use my skillset to support the goals and mission of Youth Science Canada.
